The linuxNUS community is made up of 2 groups:

• Mailing list: The majority of the community who interact via the Yahoo! Group. The list is literally for newbies to techies. Members of the list also help out in linuxNUS events on an adhoc basis.

• Coreteam: People who step forward to take up leadership [and, or] organiser roles for the linuxNUS community. Some events are Meetups, Talks and Workshops. Roles in the coreteam include:
• President
• Vice-President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Quartermaster aka Logistics Head
• Web development (linuxNUS.org)
• Web development (Opensource@NUS)
• Marketing Head
• Publicity Manager
• Creative Director
• Sysadmin

In essence, we are a bunch of people who are interested in doing one or more of the following:

• Make new friends.
• Learn more about Linux and Open Source.
• Building and strengthening of the linuxNUS community.
